Hi, Zeitgeist readers!!
I’m sorry that I’ve been a bit MIA this month; I recently moved into my freshman year dorm room, which has been an exciting but busy time. Naturally, as soon as I finished decorating my room, I wanted to write a blog post about it! Prior to moving in, I thought my room would feel like “a center for ants” as Derek Zoolander once famously said, given its small size and lack of space. However, it’s a bit larger than I anticipated, and I have an amazing roommate this year which has made the transition to college even better. I was also able to use the available space efficiently (under-bed storage is a godsend!!!)
When I first arrived, the dorm room was completely empty, aside from a few basic items provided, but I’ve made it feel like home by incorporating my personality into my decorative accents.

- SIMPLEHUMAN: “45L Semi-Round Trash Can” (stainless steel; this trashcan is not only sleek, but it also has a liner rim that makes it super easy to take out the current trash bag and replace with a new one)
