When I was younger, I always wanted to live in a treehouse, and now, for guests at Treehouse Point, that dream will become a reality. Located outside of Seattle, Washington, this family-owned lodge consists of six treehouses and is an ideal getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. Established in 2005 by Pete Nelson, Treehouse Point offers both overnight lodging and day tours of the property. Sadly, children under 13 cannot stay overnight unless a group rents the entire property, which I think is a bit age discriminatory. However, people of all ages are allowed to attend the treehouse tours. Ultimately, Treehouse Point is an idyllic nature hideaway, and I for one, cannot wait to visit one day. A delicious breakfast is served daily at the lodge, and Wifi is offered for guests who prefer to stay connected to the outside world (like me!) There are no official bathroom, facilities, however, which is definitely something to note. The hotel is extremely popular during certain seasons, and according to their website, Treehouse Point only accommodates guests who have booked their stay far in advance.
Based on their website, it seems that the cabins vary in size and interior design, so guests will be surprised upon arrival. Some of the activities offered at Treehouse Point are Tai Chi, yoga, hiking, visiting a nearby farmer’s market, taking a tour of the property, and apparently, hypnotherapy services. I must say that I am a bit skeptical of the last activity with its vague phrasing and odd nature, but perhaps I am totally missing something by not trying hypnotherapy. In addition to these activities, the resort also has the ability to host weddings if someone should be interested in getting married on the premises.
Many of the treehouses look like something out of a movie, and all of them have names that are reminiscent of nature, such as Burl, Nest, Upper Pond, Temple of the Blue Moon, Cedar Room, and more. If you want to spice up your Instagram feed and enjoy looking at nature photos, be sure to check out the hotel’s Instagram @treehousepoint.
