Everyone loves to find a good deal, and there’s nothing better than scoring an incredible piece of clothing that didn’t break the bank. There’s really no reason to spend lots of money to find a great piece, as there are infinite websites that offer options that are both cheap and chic. Everyone is well-acquainted with the staple brands that sell stylish, affordable products like H&M, Target, Forever21, Zara (sometimes, but it’s slowly getting more expensive!), Target, and ASOS.
However, it becomes increasingly frustrating when you see another person wearing the same bomber jacket you scored for 20 bucks walking down the street or sitting next to you at a movie theater. This happened to me the other day in a blouse I purchased from Zara, and the girl sitting next to me and I happened to be wearing the same shoes, too. I wanted to curl up in a ball and become invisible. Wouldn’t you? As Iris Apfel said in her documentary, “I like individuality. It’s so lost these days. So much sameness.”
In the wise words of Iris Apfel, be different, be original, but don’t spend $1,000 on a silk dress you can probably find somewhere else. Also, while doing so, you’ll ease the worry of seeing someone else wearing the exact same outfit as you in public! Below, I’ve come up with a list of 5 affordable clothing sites that you likely haven’t heard of before. Happy shopping! xo
1) Romwe
Based in Singapore, Romwe sells fantastic items ranging from dresses to chokers to embellished bomber jackets. The website holds frequent flash sales, and you can even get free shipping on your order. The cherry print off-the-shoulder blouse at the top of this article is from Romwe, and you can buy it HERE for $10.
2) Sammy Dress
A friend in college recently told me about Sammy Dress, and I’m obsessed with one of their graphic tees emblazoned with The Rolling Stones’ logo. You can check it out HERE for $6.74.
3) Boohoo
This clothing site is an exception — you’ve likely heard of it but maybe never checked it out. Based in the UK, Boohoo offers some amazing items. I’m currently in love with one of their embellished bomber jackets, available HERE for $52.
4) Make Me Chic
Perfect for high-school and college students who need to keep a tight budget, Make Me Chic has unique clothes that definitely don’t look generic. I just ordered this silk jacket last night! You can check it out HERE. It costs $26 and looks like a print Gucci would make.
5) Go Jane
I can’t get my eyes off a pair of burgundy lace-up ballet flats! They look pretty similar to an Aquazzura design, and they’re a fraction of the price! Check them out HERE for $19.50.
