Jeremy Scott’s Moschino fashion shows are some of the most celebrated presentations of the year due to their incredible creativity. Whether it is models walking down the runway wearing chandeliers or vintage roller skates, it is always thought that Jeremy Scott has done it all. However, he continues to awe and surprise those around him because Jeremy always comes up with something more unexpected and avant-garde every time.
Known for his feel-good, quirky designs, Jeremy Scott held a preview of his Men’s Spring 2017 and Women’s Resort 2017 collections in Los Angeles last night at L.A. Live. I had the lucky opportunity to attend the show, and I had the most amazing experience. I have always had a great appreciation for Jeremy’s humorous take on fashion, but I fell even more in love with his unconventional approach after watching his documentary, Jeremy Scott: The People’s Designer. He has always stayed true to himself and was able to become one of the most respected designers in the world without surrendering his signature bold style, which I highly admire.
To celebrate Jeremy Scott’s creative vision, I wore a printed Moschino skirt, white blouse, and Power Puff girl shoulder bag with a pair of my favorite summer heels for the special event. Moschino’s creations always make me feel happy because they are designed with such originality, cleverness, passion. I immediately love anyone who comes up with the brilliant idea to make a Power Puff girl purse.
Ever since I was a young child, I have always been known for my wacky sense of humor and love for anything colorful, and Moschino completely reflects my belief that fashion is meant to be fun, crazy, and colorful. Also, it should never be taken too seriously.
I am never a person who enjoys wearing all black– I always need a pop of color somewhere, and this is one of the many reasons I connect with Moschino as a brand. Last night’s runway was filled with neon inflatable flowers and other bright objects, reminiscent of the 60’s.
The show was a psychedelic heaven, filled with flower power prints, flared pants, jeweled leis, and oversized hats. Miranda Kerr opened and closed the show, while some of the other models included Alessandra Ambrosio, Taylor Hill, Romee Strijd, Molly Bair, Hailey Baldwin, Presley Gerber, and Anwar Hadid. Some of the front-row guests included Katy Perry, Amber Rose, Amanda Steele, Caitlyn Jenner, Bella Thorne, Vanessa Hudgens, Cindy Crawford, and Liz Goldwyn.
Nearly everyone attending the show was fully clad in Moschino to display their love of the brand, as well as their respect of Jeremy Scott as a designer. Below, I have included some pictures from the show.
Also, speaking of photographs, being the absolute genius that he is, Jeremy decided to make the Moschino experience available to everyone by live-streaming the show through Livit on the company’s website. Be sure to check it out on Moschino’s website if you haven’t already. It is absolutely breathtaking and fabulously fun.
