Located on Mexico’s Pacific Coast, far from many popular resort towns, is a beautiful eco-resort called Cuixmala. First converted into a hotel in 2009 by James Goldsmith, who previously owned the land, Cuixmala has several amazing, colorful villas and casitas. Goldsmith restored the local ecosystem which had sadly been damaged by deforestation, and soon enough, the land’s original inhabitants returned to the area. During the day, guests can enjoy swimming, going to the spa, shopping at the hotel boutique, sailing, snorkeling, kayaking, volleyball, fishing, and more. The design and location of the resort is incredible, and I cannot wait to visit one day.
